Position Purpose
Designers work with high accuracy and quick turnaround as an integral part of land development engineering design teams.
Essential Functions + Responsibilities
Assist in the design and production of civil engineering construction documents and conceptual site plans
Complete civil utility and site design (water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, HGL modeling, fire flow design, and storm water management)
Complete site grading plans, earthworks calculations, and sediment/erosion control design/permitting
Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, project team, contractors, and owners
Work alongside project team in accordance with company standards from concept phase through construction administration for a variety of projects
Qualifications
Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
2 - 5 years of experience in civil engineering
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with strong drive to better oneself, project team, and community
Candidates should be prepared to provide work samples and/or take a CAD assessment.
Preferences
EI on path to PE preferred
Experience with storm drain, sanitary sewer, water distribution networks, and site grading preferred

Position Purpose
Within the Triad, provide technical expertise to take a lead role in projects and resolve complex design challenges. Work closely with Project Managers and Designers to ensure the production of high-quality deliverables. Provide coaching and mentorship to Designers and CAD Techs across all Client office locations.
Essential Functions + Responsibilities
Lead a production team, provide resource management, resolve both technical and design problems, coach, train, and mentor design and CAD professionals, and work collaboratively with all team members on all aspects of project execution
Communicate and coordinate with other departments to make appropriate plan changes
Function as a liaison between the Designers, CAD Technicians, and Project Manager
Direct, coach, and mentor engineering, design, and CAD tech professionals as necessary to provide sound technical advice, resolve complex technical design problems, and to achieve high levels of performance to external clients
Design and produce civil engineering construction documents (site plans, utility plan/profile, stormwater management facility CDs, design reports, specifications)
Civil utility and site design (water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, HGL modeling, fire flow design, and storm water management and dentention) and coordination with typical mechanical utilities (gas, steam, chilled water, high voltage, emergency power, communications duct banks)
Site grading, earthworks, and sediment/erosion control design and permitting
Work in accordance with company standards with project team from concept phase through construction administration for a variety of projects
Qualifications
Four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
PE required
5+ years of experience in civil engineering
Thorough background in civil design, AutoCAD-CIVIL 3D and plan preparation
Candidates should be prepared to provide work samples and/or take a CAD assessment

PowerPlay NYC is a nonprofit organization with a mission to advance the lives of girls through sports, helping them grow physically, emotionally and academically stronger. PowerPlay offers sports-based after school and summer programs for 1,100 youth (ages 5-18). Over 90% of our participants are girls of color (predominantly Black and Latinx) and most reside in low-income neighborhoods in the five boroughs of NYC. Summary
The Data Management Consultant will support our capacity to collect, process, and use information about our programs and operations to further our mission. This role will support our goal to use data to drive program design and decision making within our organization and collaborate with other staff to promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. Also responsible for staying informed and knowledgeable of relevant research developments and frameworks in youth development to share and adopt internally as appropriate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversee and manage program evaluation and research to assess youth outcomes using Hello Insight System.
Serve as main liaison with partners (Hello Insight and Youth Inc.) to coordinate use of the impact evaluation systems.
Serve as main liaison with program staff to coordinate administration of pre/post surveys to assess youth (and staff, if applicable) outcomes.
Collect and analyze program data (ex: attendance data, academic data) and prepare reports summarizing analyzed results, including Impact Reports for each PowerPlay Program.
Synthesize and share insights with senior leadership and program staff, identify key learnings and opportunities for improvement.
Provide support to all programs as needed, including assisting internal teams to develop logic models, articulate theory of change, specify milestones, and identify indicators of success.
Work closely with Development staff to provide outcome information for grant writing and donor outreach materials.
Facilitate and support development/communications staff in effective communication with external audiences, presentations, data, key partner meetings, reports, briefs, and donor outreach, etc...
Develop staff professional development activities, meeting agendas, and discussion opportunities to promote reflection, learning, and data-based decision making among staff.
Participate in research and needs assessment to identify communities who could benefit from PowerPlay NYC.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to work with and advise program staff with a positive and collaborative attitude
Experience managing program evaluation across multiple sites
Capable of analyzing complex data and then reducing it to its simplest terms to promote organizationwide understanding and action planning
Ability to use knowledge (of report data, youth development research, etc.) to broaden the range of problem-solving options for program staff and senior leadership to improve programs
Demonstrated record of managing complex projects, meeting deadlines, and handling competing and changing priorities
Strong written and oral communication skills
Well organized with acute attention to detail while being able to see the big picture
Highly motivated self-starter with strong work ethic
Strong desire to continuously learn and take on new challenges
Experience in troubleshooting networks, printers, computers, and maintain websites is a plus
Ability to work well under limited supervision
Possess a great attitude
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Computer Skills
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Expert knowledge of Google Workspace platform (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive,
Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Meet)
Experience with Hello Insight platform strongly preferred
Experience with CitySpan Youth Services/DYCD Connect platforms a plus
